Our intuition taps into a complex network of inner wisdom, guided by our past experiences, knowledge, emotions, and subconscious mind. It is the deepest level of knowledge we possess. So, stop dismissing it! Let’s talk about how you tap into it to make better decisions.
Today I want to talk to you about intuition. What is it? How can we use it to make better decisions, solve problems, and live more fulfilling lives? And how can we stop talking long enough to listen to it?
Intuition is a powerful tool that we can all access if we just get quiet long enough to listen. It’s the ability to know something without conscious reasoning or explanation. It’s often dismissed as a “gut feeling,” but, in fact, it’s based on a complex interplay of factors, including our past experiences, our subconscious mind, and our emotions.
I believe that intuition is one of our most undervalued, underrated gifts. It’s a way for us to connect with our inner wisdom and guidance. When we listen to our intuition, we’re tapping into a deeper level of knowing – a level that is beyond our conscious mind.
When leveraged, intuition can help you:
- Make better decisions. When you listen to your intuition, you’re tapping into a wealth of information that your conscious mind may not be aware of. This can help you make more informed decisions, even when you’re faced with complex or difficult choices.
- Solve problems. Intuition can also help you solve problems that you may not be able to figure out with logic alone. When you’re stuck on a problem, try taking a step back and listening to your intuition. You may be surprised by the solution that comes to you.
- Live a more fulfilling life. Intuition can help you make choices that are aligned with your true values and goals – your true north. When you follow your intuition, you’re more likely to live a life that is meaningful and satisfying.
Intuition isn’t always infallible. Sometimes, we may get a “gut feeling” that is wrong. However, even when intuition is wrong, it can still be a valuable source of information. By paying attention to our intuition, we can learn to better understand ourselves and the world around us.
Many of my clients ask how they can get better in tune with their intuition. Here are a few tips:
- Be still and quiet. When you’re trying to access your intuition, it’s important to create a quiet and relaxed environment. Knock off the frenetic activity and simply BE STILL. This will help you to focus your attention and listen to your inner voice.
- Pay attention to your body. Sounds silly, right? Not really. Your body can often give you clues about your intuition. For example, if you feel a sense of peace or excitement when you’re considering a particular option, this may be a sign that your intuition is telling you to go with that option.
- Trust your gut. I call this my “Spidey Sense.” Even if you can’t explain why you feel a certain way, it’s important to trust your gut instinct. If you have a strong feeling about something, it’s worth exploring further.
Listening to your intuition is a skill that takes practice. You know the adage, “practice makes perfect.” The more you do it, the better you will become at it. Don’t be afraid to experiment and see what happens. You may (will!) be surprised at how accurate your intuition can be.
